[KOTOR/TSL] Modder's Source: New Planet Texture

This is something which I whipped up several years ago for a mod which went unfinished due to a hard drive crash. I recently found the texture on an old flashdrive, so here you go! :)

I've given both textures the file names as Korriban's textures, so if you want to use it for your mod, you'll have to rename them. There are two folders which you'll find in the zip file, K1 and TSL. This is because the two games have different naming conventions, not because of any issues with porting. To install, take the files from either of the two folders and dump them in the respective game's override folders.

This mod will make Mission Vao a playable head at the game's start. It does not use the original head, but a Twi'lek head as the base to resemble her using parts of the original texture. This mod includes Sith Eyes and tattoos as you transition to the dark side. There are also custom portraits to reflect the head’s transitions.

After making my Playable Mission Vao mod for TSL, I always meant to go back and do a KotOR I version. I started almost immediately, but it got delayed as I was away from the modding community from early 2009 to early 2011. Only recently did I find my WIP copy of it and commenced to complete it. As an added bonus, I reused the model edit from my KotOR I Playable Yuthara Ban to use masks/headgear with this mod too. (But, it is completely compatible with my K1 Yuthara Ban mod since it has different model & texture file names.)

[KOTOR] Broken Bottle

Some of you who have been around since way, way, back in the mists of time may remember a mod I released back before the Flood, involving a bottle which was broken. Six years later, I present to you the mod's KotOR 1 version!

[TSL] New Bounty Hunters on Onderon

This mod will add two new NPCs to the Onderon Cantina. One of them is drunk, and the other will apologize for his companion when you talk to him.

Once you meet with Kavar you will begin to fight your way back to your ship. When you get to your ship, the two from the Cantina will be waiting for you.

These NPCs are a medium difficulty fight and are placed at the end of the Onderon level. They have credits, weapons, and a new heavy armor as rewards for defeating them. This new encounter is completely TSLRCM compatible.
All human bounty hunter lines are voiced by me. Those of you who have played my SUPER content mod may recognize this sequence.

I have just registered with this site after giving up on the FileFront KOTOR site (it seems they seem to be having some server issues).

The purpose being: I have recently added 2 mods for Knights of the Old Republic to my site.

Hello. At last, I've finished it: an assortment of tools for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords that I've made from scratch. Some I made for me, some I made on request, and some I made just for fun. There are eighteen items in total in this the first version.

So, what does this do? Well, it depends on the tool. One is a container for all the others; the others are... more varied. I've grouped them into general functions; most launch a computer screen and allow you to select further options from there. Among these are a party manager, a script executor, an item creator, a stat modifier, a camera viewer, a character animator, a character cloner, and a warp console. Others have instantaneous effects, such as the teleporter and the door opener/closer. Still others have temporary effects, functioning much like a passive Force power, but without costing you anything; among these are a key that opens any door you approach, a shield designed by someone who thinks the best defense is a good offense (i.e. it kills anything that comes near it), and a mysterious technique that makes everybody dance. I have also included a portable workbench and portable lab station. Furthermore, there are some optional mini-mods included. A rather exhaustive readme is included, but to get a really good idea you have to try for yourself... just make sure you save first! Seriously, this can really screw up the game.

There will be updates and I am taking requests, though I ask that you read the aforementioned lengthy readme in full before sending any.

[TSL] Knights of the Old Republic III : The Jedi Masters 2.0 (beta)

What is this?
The Jedi Masters is a conversion mod for Kotor2. Call it a 'total conversion mod' if you like, I quite like 'story conversion mod'.

This will fully mod The Sith Lords and so that it can be played as a completely new story.

This is a Knights of the Old Repubilic 3?

Sort of. This was started many years ago when any sequel for The Sith Lords seemed very unlikely. It acts as a continuation of the kotor storyline, and as such, like a kotor3. It should also be noted that that since work on this began before most of them, this does not accept The Old Republic MMORPG, the Kotor comic, or books, as having happened.

How long is it?

When I recently did a full playthrough (that is, playing the main story and every subquest I could) it took me about 12 hours.

What are it's features?

TJM is 100% voiced. It includes reused and retextured modules from TSL, but also enirely new ones built from scratch.

There are many different planets to explore, and companions to gain. There are multiple endings depending on your choices, and romance options for both male and female characters. There are Jedi paths and dark side paths.

There is even a shapeshifting Jawa!

For more information, I have prepared a basic wiki for the mod.

As the title states, this is not the final version just yet. This is a beta. That means there will be some issues to solve, but it is still very playable. I encourage anyone who plays this version to be prepared just in case a crash occurs. I have played it several times myself now, so I can guarantee it's possible to reach the end.

If you play and find any bugs, please post about them in this thread or the WIP so that I may correct them.

Super important note : This mod may replace many things in your override folder. I suggest making a copy of it if you want to keep your current mods for use later.

Installation instructions :

Download the exe and extract it's contents to your SWKotor2 folder. To uninstall, find TJM from your start menu and select the uninstall option.

Alternatively, you can download the two zips and extract everything to the correct folders yourself.

To play, simply start up Kotor 2 : TSL normally then select new game. You'll know if it's worked as the launcher and main game menu will have changed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I'll answer as best as I can.

Final words : Feedback is great, but I'm not looking for any suggestions on how to expand the mod further. However, if you want to mod the mod yourself, please go ahead, although ask for permission first.

If you want to knwo if another mod is compatible with this one, PM me and I'll try and give you an answer.

Run install.exe and click install

Note: a new folder named "backup" will be created during instalation within the folder the installer was run from. If you plan on uninstalling this mod this folder and the files therein must not be deleted as they are used during the uninstall process.

Backups of any file that was altered were made during installation and placed in a folder called "backup" within the folder the installer was run from.

This is an extended version of the Rebuilt Enclave sequence. I went through the dialogs as modified by TSLRCM and compared them to the original versions, and made changes and restored additional dialog based on developer notes, etc...
The following scenes have been modified:


1. "Did you not go to join him?"
Brianna approaches Kreia before the dialog with the Masters starts, and Kreia has additional lines.

2. "It is not as it was."
The sequence with the Jedi Masters has been extended with additional dialog from the masters themselves, and when reading the minds of your party, all but Hanharr are now represented. Depending on whether you learned how to read the characters minds, or spoke to Atton about playing Pazaak, lines may change.

3. "You have failed me, completly and utterly."
Kreia's confrontation with the Exile now includes several minutes of new dialog. Some of the additional dialog is dependent on your influence level with Kreia, i.e the scene will have differant lines at the end if you have high, low, or 'neutral' influence with Kreia.

Also there is now a shot of Nihilus' ship before the scene with him and Tobin


Additonal Dialogs

4. This is a modification to Kreia's global dialog. Totally optional.
This file restores a few lines to Kreia's dialog about small kindnesses and cruelities.


2. Install:
----------
(It is highly recommended that you update your game to version 2.10 (the 1.0b update) before installing this mod.) TSLRCM 1.8.1 Required

This is a patch for TSLRCM, it will not work otherwise. So have that installed.
To install, extract the Main Patch folder to anywhere you like, as long as it is not the SWKotOR2 folder. Simply run 'install.exe' from within the "Main Patch" folder.

If you want the additonal Kreia lesson dialog, make sure you back up the kreia.dlg in your ovveride, before copying mine over form optional.



3. Uninstall:
----------

There has been a backup made of the modified files, within a folder titled 'backup' in the 'Main Patch" folder. Simply copy the 650dan.mod into your Modules folder, and you will have reverted to TSLRCM 1.8.1

Optional: Replace kreia.dlg in your Override with the backup you made.


4. Bugs:
----------
I tested this several times to make sure nothing weird happened. Let me know if you encounter something you think you shouldn't.

This mod adds the planet of M4-78 to the game, where you can find living Master Vash. Planet is only available after finishing Korriban. You will find a clue on how to get to M4-78 in Korriban's Sith Academy.

* Explore the mysterious Droid's Planet in a dialog-heavy adventure, with over 1000 lines of voiced dialogs!

Please note that for now, M4-78 Enhancement Project is only compatible with English version of a game. If possible, we'll try to support it with translations same way we supported TSLRCM - but given amount of text on a planet, it may take a while to translate.
In the meantime, it's *possible* to run this mod with non-english versions of a game using DLGConverter - visit our forums for further assistance.


2. Installation:

1. First, you will need to get most up-to-date version of TSL Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM). It's available for download here: http://deadlystream....ed-content-mod/
Please note that M4-78EP will NOT work AT ALL without TSLRCM.
2. Follow TSLRCM's installation instructions.
3. Once TSLRCM is successfully installed, run M4-78EP.exe. Installer will ask you where you want to install a mod - it should figure out where TSLRCM is installed by itself, so you probably won't need to change that. If, for some reason, installer shows incorrect folder, make sure you change it to directory where KotOR 2 is installed (where swkotor2.exe is located, NOT any of subfolders).
4. While we try our best to make this mod as bug-free as possible, with the many options of KOTOR2 and our small testing team it can happen that bugs, including critical ones, pass through. We will fix them, so check our site for any potential updates and patches.
5. Install any compatible mods you desire now.
