Mod of the Year 2012 Nominations thread!

As in previous years, the selection of the top mod will be performed in two stages: nominations, here, and voting for both the KotOR and TSL top mods will begin once nominations have closed.

Well, to put a long story short, this mod makes the text you see when you investigate into Elassa's murder in the Republic Embassy into an actual cutscene. (For a more detailed description check the ReadMe below.)

Well, in mid-July I discovered a higher quality, slightly odd, version of the texture for the Ebon Hawk's computer panels. I fixed that up to look like the original, and the mod took off from there. Basically, this takes some of the most prominent Ebon Hawk textures that were really low-res and makes them nice and high-res.

Here's my second small mod.

Description:

Being a stickler for detail, I always been irked about how the Sith Holocrons were represented in Atris' Holocron Chamber in her Secret Academy.

I decided to do something about it.

This is what the original texture looks like:


Here's what the holocron looks like using my texture:


The original texture was (I believe) 128 X 128. My texture is 512 X 512.
My texture does not animate.

Installation:
-------------

For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: Extract the TGA file into the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic/Override folder.


Uninstallation:
-------------

Take it out again. ;)

My first reskin. This Reskin changes the Color of all Republic NPCs, and also contains a seperate folder if you want to use the republic Soldier armor as your default clothes with this skin. Enjoy!
(These should be able to be used with TSL, as well.)

nothing mind blowing fantastic :P just the edited skin i use for my light sided female jedi play through, this only alters the standrd face and not the darkside variations.

Things i altered:

added blush

darkened the skin slightly

added lip gloss

put tints/highlights in her hair (faint but relatively realistic)

better eye shadow make up

and made her eyes rather piercing :)

My Modified Disciple mod, i would recommend a new game due to the class change but i wouldn't say it would be mandatory.

1. INTRODUCTION

"It's not what you say, it's how cool you look not saying it."

This is a perfect description of the infamous bounty hunter, Boba Fett. A man of enormous actions, and few

words, Boba is a captivating character in the Star Wars universe, and certainly an incredible persona. And the

guy just looks awesome.

2. DESCRIPTION

This mod is the basic Boba Fett gear. You've got your helmet, armor, and blaster. What more could you want?!

(Yes, I know there's more that can go with this mod, that's why it's version .8) Anyway, the helmet and armor

are all in one item. It's a disguise, which seems to work best for this mod. There's also the blaster too, which

is quite powerful. I hope to add more stuff to this in the future.

You're going to have to cheat or use KSE to get these.

g_w_rptnblstr41 = Boba Fett's EE-3 (Packs a punch, by the way)
g_i_mask24 = Boba Fett's Helmet and Armor (Looks awesome and good stats too)

3. INSTALLATION

Simply copy all of the files into your Override folder. No TSL Patcher for this version, sorry. If you want to

preserve your old stuff, rename your override folder, and create another one and throw this stuff in.

In two minds about this, but i'll release my current version, basically just changed his skin tone to a more human one, add a few bits here and there texture wise, not really sure they came out, also attempted t add a cyborg type eye :)

Is the mod Brotherhood of Shadow Solomon's Revenge compatible with weapons of the old republic ? :)

I've run into a problem with Solomen's Revenge. I'm at the point where Shadow is back on the Orion and has just had a discussion with the captain. You're told to help repel a Republic boarding party, the game loads and then just goes into a black screen! You can hear gunfire and see the cursor but nothing else! I've tried a new game save (which has worked with past problems) but it's not working this time. Now, I've already download a patch for Solomen's Revenge earlier and hoped it would take care of most if not all the reported bugs in the mod but I see that's not the case here. Has anyone run into this and can help me out I would REALLY like to play out this game?!

This would be my first post on this forum. Here goes. So I'm slightly new to the idea of modding/skinning KotOR, but, given my previous knowledge of Paint.net and an added texturing tutorial by sir PrtyLizardJedi, I decided to skin some things in the game to add a bit more life to it.
In particular, I thought I would make HK-47 look more menacing, and Jolee a bit more.....sassy and aggressive. xD> There is also a slightly different Zaalbar model I have been unable to screenshot, but there are only slight changes made to him, as well.

In a few days I decided to attempt a decent size reskinning of the male PCs in KOTOR. I also did minimal model adjustments to make the required elf ears. I learned a lot while attempting this project, and I hope you all enjoy!

Description: this mod provides darkside players with a means of training hanharr as a dark jedi guardian, it branches off of the part where you "break" him. it also includes a new skin, portrait, and if it works correctly, when you train him his appearance should change.
the read me says it requires tslrcm 1.8.1 but anything newer should work too.

Well, on March 16, 2011 a veteran modder known as Varsity Puppet released a mod called VP's Hi Poly Tin Cans. Now this mod took the bad lightsaber models that were for the sabers in the vanilla game and made them high quality and good looking. The only problem with this mod though, was that there was no KotOR I version. And so, approximately two years later (I really did not plan this), with VP's permission, I went ahead and made a KotOR I version. Hope you guys enjoy.

Description

This mod replaces the standard, large computer panels with 'holographic' versions,
inspired by the Mass Effect games. The textures are slightly animated, to create a
'static' effect. This mod does not affect the smaller computer panels,
wall-mounted computer panels or the Rakatan computer model.

Installation
------------
Put the two .tga files and two .txi files into your Override folder.

Uninstallation
--------------
Take them out again. :)

Permissions

Before you get your hopes up these mods are just low grade reskins, I stopped modding KotOR for a while now and thought maybe someone could find use in it. I cant upload any pics at this time because I lost my game save files, but will upload some later hopefully.

These mods alter the looks of every party member found in-game. I included an extra 2 mods that i was dinkin' around with at the time. Even though the "White Fire Robes" are low in quality it's the only mod I actually spent some good time on (procrastination and being lazy is bad m'kay?) so I hope someone finds use to that.

The main purpose of me uploading this is because anyone and everyone can alter and re-upload these mods.
